Scouting For Food Program Information

Hey scouts, the Milford Food Pantry provides help to families in need across our town, and they heavily depend on the Scouting for Food program each year to re-stock their shelves.

This weekend our troop has been assigned to hang flyers for this year’s Scouting for Food drive, and also to help pick up and deliver food to the Pantry on Saturday, November 3rd from noontime to 3PM. Help is also needed at the Pantry on that day to collect and sort food into boxes.

We have precinct 4 again this year, so we need scouts and adult drivers to participate. This weekend flyers can be hung on doors any time on Saturday or Sunday, so scouts and adults who are going on the Nobscot trip should also be able to participate.

Mr. Nogueira needs to know as soon as possible which adults are available to drive and what scouts can participate in hanging flyers, and also with pickup and delivery. Mr. Nogueira has flyers and detailed route maps that you can get from him at tonight’s meeting. Please remember that Scouts need to wear their class A uniforms when hanging flyers or picking up.

If you are available to participate, please do so. The Milford Food Pantry needs your help! Thanks!

BTW: For scouts who wish to have Mrs. Ciesla record the number of service hours you participate in this program, please fill out the following form and have Mr. Nogueira sign it. Service Hour Form
